About Me

Loriana Marie Photography

Coral Alejandra Moore has always been the kind of girl who makes up stories. Fortunately, she never quite grew out of that. She writes because she loves to invent characters and the desire to find out what happens to her creations drives her tales.

Prompted by a general interest in how life works, she studied biology. She enjoys conversations about genetics and microbiology as much as those about vampires and werewolves. Coral writes mainly speculative fiction and has a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Albertus Magnus College. She is a 2013 alum of the Viable Paradise writer’s workshop. Her writing has been published by Diabolical PlotsZombies Need Brains, and Secrets of the Goat People.

She conducts author interviews for Lightspeed Magazine and helped in the planning and execution of the first FIYAHCon in 2020. Her secret identity is the social media manager for the Dream Foundry. She has recently begun a new venture: Constelación Magazine which is a bilingual speculative fiction magazine publishing stories in English and Spanish.

Currently she lives in the beautiful state of Washington with the love of her life and a dangerously smart Catahoula Leopard Dog. Her mother is from Puerto Rico and her father is from Portugal, and she grew up speaking three languages with very little idea of the boundaries between them.
