Matchmakers 2.0 by Debora Geary
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Okay, I should preface this by saying that this is not at all a genre that I read frequently. I’m not much for this type of story as a general rule.
It’s well-written and I liked her writing style. Parts made me laugh out loud and there are some great lines. Overall, it was thoroughly enjoyable.
If you want conflict or tension, you’re in the wrong place. A light, snappy read is the best way to describe it.
Thanks for braving another genre to get the scoop! It isn’t my usual kind of read either, but I like Debora’s style, so I have been curious.
I think there’s definitely a mood for her kind of story. If you’re having a crappy week and life just seems to suck, this story would lift you up.
In general I prefer my fiction a little more gritty than average so this was a big step for me. This particular story was free on Amazon for a week or so, which is why I decided to give it a try.
