RemixRemix by Lexi Revellian
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I started this book with absolutely no idea what it was about. I bought it on a whim and forgot about it until I noticed it sitting on my Kindle when I was looking for something to read. The first part of the book is very engaging. I could hardly put it down. Caz is a lovely character who is drawn well and eminently likable. The writing is excellent. Overall it’s an easy, fun read.

This brings me to the book’s one and only drawback. The plot is obvious. I didn’t find the mystery at all mysterious. It’s labeled as a Romantic Suspense, so I kept expecting to be suspended. It’s good, but with a little more tension and mystery, I think it could have been great. I’d say it’s a solid 3.5.

  1. One question, Is that just an e-book or is it in paper too.

But I think I understand your comment. I have read books like that, I knew what was going to happen… more or less… but the story was still enjoyable.

In fact I just read one that was almost like that. One by Laura Resnick. I knew who one of the bad guys were half way through. Actually I thought the most obvious bad guy was it but than wondered if that character was red herring but this other character kept showing up and I thought “Hmmm he’s showing up for some reason” and then Laura put in something about that character, I nodded my head, yep. I was right.

Sorry for being unclear there but just in case you ever read the book-it is humorous and somewhat dark- I didn’t want to make the spoilers too spoiling.

And BTW I haven’t found anything like your bookshelves with the people I do my blog through yet but I’ll keep looking. I could very well be missing something somewhere.

  2. I believe it is only available in e-book format. You don’t necessarily need a reader. If you buy from Amazon they have a program that lets you read their e-books on your computer.

I think Goodreads probably has a blogspot widget. I haven’t checked though.
