I’ve had a pretty difficult week. I was moving along at a nice clip with my Werewolfery, and then I ran into a huge brick wall. I rewrote the same scene about four times and no matter what I did I ended up with the same out of character bullshit happening. Completely disgusted with myself, I switched to another story and wrote a variation on the same scene again. How does that even happen?

I think I’m going to switch gears for a while and go back to my Elements of Rebellion revision, because there’s no way that I could get that same scene into that story. Take that, fickle muse! I’ll show you who the boss is yet.

On a happier note, I watched a really great series of videos that offer several tools on how to generate scenes from ideas: John Brown on How to Write a Story that Rocks Very highly recommended.
